English 1102
Recommended Texts

The Department of English recognizes the following texts as excellent choices for the teaching of ENGL 1102 (Composition II), which is a continuation of ENGL 1101. These texts, in keeping with departmental policy, cover the required genres and allow for a diversity of authors and styles.

Required Texts:

Students must have the department's required handbook, A Writer's Resource.

There will also be a shared text assigned to all sections of 1102 (the 2008-2009 shared text is Andrew Hudgins' After the Lost War), which each instructor is free to incorporate into the course in ways most conducive to specific course content or themes.

Choice of additional texts (other than the handbook and shared text) are left to the instructor's discretion.

Please see either Brandy James if you have questions concerning appropriate text selection.
