Note: We no longer use cap override forms.

To enter the cap override:

Go to Faculty and Advisors
Click on Student Menu
Click on Registration Overrides
Select the term, hit submit
Enter the student’s UWG ID or name, hit submit
Hit submit again when the student is brought up
Select maximum seats override from the override menu
Select the course for which this override is being applied
Hit submit
Hit submit again

9. How do I request a desk copy?
Desk copies of texts are often (but not always) offered by publishing companies to professors who are using the texts as REQUIRED texts in their class. To request a desk copy of a text, mark the “desk copy” column on your book order form before submitting your book order to Jonette Larrew. She will request the desk copy for you. *Important note: If you are NOT requiring the students to purchase the text, you are not eligible to receive a desk copy from a publishing company.  If the book is out of print, you are not eligible to receive a desk copy.

How do I request an exam copy?
Exam copies of texts are often (but not always) offered by publishing companies to professors who wish to examine a text. There is a cost (usually minimal) for exam copies. For this reason, professors are responsible for ordering exam copies for themselves. The department cannot reimburse professors for the cost of exam copies. To find out how to order an exam copy, visit the publishing company’s website.

**Direct deposit is strongly recommended. You can set up direct deposit through Human Resources.

22. How do I operate the technology in the Pafford and Humanities classrooms?
Click here to view a PDF document that gives the basic operating instructions for the newly installed or upgraded classroom technology in the Humanities, Pafford, Boyd, Callaway and Geography buildings.  The PDF lists which rooms contain the new and/or upgraded technology.  In most of the rooms a wall rack has been installed that houses the controls for the projector, a DVD/VCR player and remote, and cables to connect a laptop to the system.  These wall racks are locked and should remain locked when not in use to protect the contents of the rack and the operation of the system.  The department secretary will allocate keys to each faculty member who needs them to access the wall racks.  The key you receive will work on any of the newly installed wall racks in each of the buildings listed above.

If you have problems with the operation of the new classroom technology, please contact A&S Tech Support (support@as.westga.edu or x94899).
