John Blair studied in Munich and Berlin before
receiving his Ph.D. in German language and literature from Indiana University
in Bloomington. He taught at the University of Reno, Nevada, for three
years before accepting a position here at the University of West Georgia.
His specialty is eighteenth-century German literature and he has recently
published Transgressive
Currents in Goethe's Wilhelm Meister's Apprenticeship.
Other current interests include film, turn-of-the-century German culture,
and the study of stereotypes.
