Diane Sharp received
her M.A. in Spanish from the University of Georgia and her Ph.D. in
Spanish from Emory University. Her primary area of research deals
with the texts of Miguel de Unamuno and the Generation of 1898. She
has published articles on Unamuno and on the Spanish writer, Carlos Rojas.
She also has translated an essay by the Spanish critic, Miguel Morey, and
has presented papers on works by Ramón del Valle-Inclán, Gabriela
Mistral, and Jorge Luis Borges. In addition, she has made presentations
on Mexican culture and accompanied students on cultural trips to Mexico.
She is currently completing a translation of Carlos Rojas’s biography, Carlos
IV and preparing a paper on Unamuno’s San Manuel Bueno, mártir.
