Dr. John Littlejohn received a B.A. and M.A. in German from the University of Mississippi and holds a Ph.D. in German language and literature from the University of Kansas. He taught German at Clemson University for three years before coming to the University of West Georgia in Fall 2009. His primary research interests are contemporary popular culture and 20th/21st century literature. He has written or co-written articles on artists and movements in German music such as Rammstein, Kraftwerk and German gangsta rap. He is also serving as a guest editor for a special edition on Krautrock in Popular Music and Society which is set to appear in December 2009.
