BS in Geography
The list below represents the major learning objectives and outcomes of the B.S. program in physical geography. Upon graduating from the Department of Geosciences, every student with a bachelor's degree in physical geography should be able to do the following:
- Demonstrate a general knowledge of geographic dimensions of social and environmental phenomena and processes
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of a specific geographical question
- Demonstrate an ability to analyze data geographically
- Demonstrate an ability to represent data geographically
- Demonstrate an ability to construct and present an argument based on evidence
- Demonstrate an understanding of the geographic dimensions of patterns and processes of the physical environment
- Demonstrate competence in acquiring, evaluating, and analyzing data about the physical world.
