Faculty Stimulates GA Economy
Dr. Seong and Dr. Rose in the UWG Geosciences Department receive $492,000 from the US Geological Survey to boost economy through aerial LiDAR survey over the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. The survey project will build very accurate elevation databases for the Charlton and Ware Counties. The datasets will eventually be provided to the public through The National Map of the US Geological Survey. Many undergraduate and graduate students will be involved in LiDAR data collection and processing.
