
UWG Geography students Christopher Tripp and Michael Edwards, presented their research at the annual meeting of the Association of American Geographers in New York City in late February.
Chris presented a poster he co-authored with Michael and Dr. Shea Rose, assistant professor of Geography, titled, "Researching Heat Island Mitigation Strategies for the EPA's Heat Island Reduction Program." Michael presented a poster he co-authored with Erin Casey (UWG Anthropology major) and Dr. Georgina DeWeese, assistant professor of Geography, titled, "Dendroarcheological Dating of the Historic Green Hotel in Cave Springs, Georgia, USA."
