Employment
Employment may be available while attending school to help finance your education. Payroll checks are received bi-weekly and are not applied toward any tuition and fee charges. Student employed on campus usually work 10-20 hours a week and earn minimum wage.
UWG Department of Career Services
The Department of Career Services can provide current students and alumni with information on employment opportunities in their fields of interest. Graduate Assistantships
Available in departments offering graduate degrees. Applications are available through the Graduate Admissions Office or by telephone at 678-839-6419. You may also print the Graduate Assistantship Application. A Graduate Assistantship award may have an effect on your financial aid eligibility. The University System of Georgia requires all graduate students receiving a tuition reduction as part of their graduate assistantship award to have health insurance, which meets certain minimum requirements. Federal Work Study
A federal program designed to allow employment opportunities for students demonstrating need. Job availability includes clerical, technical and manual labor, library, laboratories, and community service. Positions are available on and off campus. Student Assistantships
Helps provide on-campus jobs regardless of financial circumstances. Job availability is more limited than those offered through work-study but are similar in the type of jobs available except for community service.
