Professional Learning Classes
These classes provide state approved professional learning credit that is required for recertification, new ideas for teaching science, and activities that meet the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS).
Emphasis is on utilizing hands-on activities in the classroom to reinforce the curriculum content. Some courses integrate science and math with other areas of the curriculum, such as mathematics, reading, language arts, social studies, or art. Participating teachers receive PLU's, activity handouts, and sometimes manipulatives.
