Mr. Jonathon Awtrey

American Intellectual History, American Revolution, Early American Republic,

and Ancient Greece and Rome.

 

Professor Awtrey’s research focuses upon the impact of the classical tradition (the intellectual heritage of ancient Greece and Rome) upon early Americans.  Mr. Awtrey has written a book review for the Journal of Popular Culture, and is currently writing a book review for the New England Quarterly.  Additionally, Mr. Awtrey presented a paper at the annual Consortium on the Revolutionary Era in February at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC, while also crafting his thesis into an article for future publication.
