Carroll County and the Second World War Oral History Project

Center for Public History, University of West Georgia

This semester-long graduate student project by graduate student Joseph Meeler examined how the second World War impacted Carroll County and its residents. Funded as a Gerontology Seed Grant from the University of Georgia Gerontology Center, the oral histories include a sampling of men and women who went away to the war or worked in defense industries at home. These interviews and related photographs are housed in the archives of the Center for Public History and are available for research purposes.
