students can "convert" most regular courses into Honors credit by completing a
contract with the supervising instructor.
This contract modifies the
course syllabus for the Honors student and typically includes extra
assignments, papers, or projects.
Any additions or alterations to the
course syllabus for Honors credit are at the complete discretion of the
instructor of the course.
departments have additional policies regarding Honors contracts. Also,
instructors have the right to refuse to allow Honors contracts for their
courses. Additionally, based on departmental or Honors College policies,
the following courses cannot be converted to Honors credit:
1001 or 1002 Foreign Language
There are 3 forms that students must complete for an
Honors Contract. Those forms are available here or students may pick up
copies from the Honors College office located at the West Entrance
of campus. All 3 forms with all needed signatures of approval MUST be
received by the Honors College office no later than the end of the 2nd
week of each semester. Once the forms have been submitted to the Registrar
from the Honors College Office, students MUST fulfill the obligations of their
Honors contract. Failure to complete Honors contracts could negatively
impact the student's final course grade and future Honors College

Honors Contract Policies
While all Honors students are encouraged to enroll in designated
Honors courses, Honors students may convert as many courses as needed in
order to meet the Honors College graduation requirements.
