• IGNITE is a special Early Orientation Program for Incoming UWG Honors College Freshmen.
• This 1 day event will replace the normal requirement of all Incoming students to attend a 2 day Summer Orientation Program.
Activities for the day include:
• Personal Academic Advising and Registration for Fall 2009 courses (IGNITE Participants will be the 1 st students to register for Fall courses. Not even continuing UWG students will have registered yet!)
• Financial Aid Information
• Residential Housing, Meal Plans, and Important Information for Commuter students
• Chances to meet current Honors and UWG staff, faculty, and students
• Tour of campus
• Special Question and Answer Session for the Parents
Eligible students will receive an invitation and instructions on the registration process for this special event. In order to be considered, students must apply for admission and then be accepted to both the University of West Georgia and also to the Honors College.
In order to be eligible for acceptance to the Honors College , students must meet at least 2 of the following 3 criteria:
• 3.5 High School GPA
• 1200 Composite SAT (Math & Critical Readin only)
• 610 Critical Reading SAT
