International Night

What is this event that we call "International Night" and proudly talk about, you may ask?  Well, The International Night is the magical night of melting pots and sharing of cultures, excellent food, talents and entertainment.  It is a night where all the International Students on campus work very hard to feed and entertain their audience and it has become a tradition of fun, dance, song and bright, lively colors. We have been doing this for 21 years now, and here are some of the people who made this extraordinary night special, year after year.  Welcome to our memory lane...

International Week
The International Night has been a part of the International Student Club's line of events for about two decades. In 2003, the International Week was instituted to the line of events; the beginning of a new tradition!

    Cultural Panel
The Cultural Panel is an event organised every fall and spring semester to help enlighten the UWG community about other cultures all over the world. About 10 - 16 International Students go before the UWG student body, to talk about their culture, country, lifestyles and past experiences. After the International students conclude their presentations, they take questions from the audience of students, faculty and staff which can vary from the effects of geographic influences on the dialects spoken in the particular region to the number of days a copule must remain separate from one another during the necessary ceremonies for their marriage. After the event ends, International and indigenous students, mingle and get to know each other personally.
