Educational Philosophy

As an elementary child, I saw the world through the experiences I had in school and grew to understand that my future was indelibly tied to education. I believe that teachers are one-third missionary, one-third actor, and one-third salesman. We must be passionate about our calling, articulate in our delivery, and sold on our product.

Education gave me the opportunity to have a no-limit life and I believe all people deserve the same opportunity. I also believe, as John Dewey, that the education I want for my own child should be the education available to all children. Therefore, I have dedicated myself to public service. Furthermore, I believe that our democracy is dependent upon an informed citizenry. This country, this life, has been good to me, and I am compelled to work to make the same sofor future generations.
