Lecture Outline:

Nancy Farmer (Library), Spring 2002

Prior to her presentation, Ms. Farmer handed out the following: An outline of her presentation (yellow sheet)  and a  worksheet for BUSA 1900 (HW#8).  Her presentation covered the following:  GALILEO (Georgia Library Learning Online), GIL (GALILEO Interconnected libraries), Ingram Library specific databases (JSTOR, Project MUSE, Statistical Universe), and Ingram Library Services (student jobs, Interlibrary loans, guides, government documents).  Under GALILEO, Ms. Farmer introduced us to databases such as Academic Search Elite, NetLibrary (e-books), and the Grove Dictionary of Art.  Ms. Farmer also discussed how to obtain an off-campus password for GALILEO.  For more details, refer to the handout, your class notes from the presentation,  or go to the library homepage (Ingram Library Homepage) to explore these topics in more detail.

            HW#8 (handed out in class, turn in completed worksheet by due date)
