Introduction
In 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed to find the new world. What kinds of things did he encounter on his trip over? Why did he set sail in the first place?
Tasks 
Task 1: Create a timeline of the life of Christopher Columbus beginning with his birth in 1451, and following through until his death in 1506. Include any information you think is significant about his life.
Task 2: Pretend you were on Christopher Columbus' first voyage. Create a journal or daily log of events that happened along the way. Be sure to include what you the crewmen might have been seeing as they sailed the ocean.
Task 3: Draw a replica of one of Columbus' ships and include a description of the ship.

Conclusion
When you have finished, you will have a better understanding of the life and voyages of Christopher Columbus. You will have a greater sense of what it may have been like to travel across the ocean in search of new land, and what life may have been like along the way on the Nina, Pinta, or Santa Maria.
