ROAD TRIP
Take a trip across the south and explore the many attractions the cities have to offer.


Introduction:The south is full of many exciting cities for tourists to visit. Cities that offer both history and entertainment. The southern cities of the present are rich in beauty and culture. Learning how to explore the many attractions these cities have to offer is very important when traveling. A travel brochure is a great way to utilize  what a city has to offer and plan out your trip.



Task: In groups of four, you will design a travel brochure about three different cities that you may visit in the south. Each group will be assigned a set of three different cities to research. The brochure must contain entertainment, museums, and other sites that you find interesting about that city. The brochure will also contain a map of the route you will take to get from one city to the next.

Historian- This person is in charge of finding out the history that each particular city has to offer.

Entertainment supervisor- This person is in charge of selecting entertainment venues of each city.

Designer- This person will be in charge of selecting the print and design of the brochure. What pictures to use and implementing a map of the south.

Reporter- This person will be in charge of putting all the useful information into one presentation.

Process:
1. Complete internet search about the cities you have chosen.
2. Using the information that you gather, create a brochure of the cities that may be used by someone wanting to visit the south.
3. Present your work to the whole class.
4. You may also make copies of you brochure to hand out to the entire class.

Brochure The brochure had few items listed and little detail. The brochure had at least 4 items and some detail.  The brochure had at least 7-8 items and great detail. Included some pictures. The brochure had more that 8 items and each one was very detailed. It included lots of pictures and was well organized.
Delivery The presentation was a little interesting. The presentation was interesting and engaged most of the audience.  The presentation was interesting and engaged all the audience.  The presentation ws interesting and involved the audience. The presentation made the audience want to take their road trip.
Information The information presented in the brochure was somewhat accurate. The information presented was accurate, but lacking in some areas.  The information presented was accurate and provided many great attractions. The information presented was accurate and very detailed. It provided the popular attraction and the information was well organized.



Conclusion: In this activity, you have learned how to utilize the internet to plan a trip and create a travel brochure.The aspects you have learned will help you to travel economically. The goal of this webquest was to further your knowledge of southern cities and learn how to effectively read a map and create a travel brochure. It is hoped that you can take this knowledge that you have learned and portray it to real life.
