The West Georgia Judo Club is located at the University of West Georgia. We are a club devoted to practicing and teaching the sport of Judo. Our club has been active on campus since 1972, and we continue to grow and improve each year. We enjoy both the sport of Judo and the level of camaraderie that is unique to our art. We invite anybody who is interested (*no experience necessary*) in the sport of judo to come and workout with us. Workouts are on Mondays from 9-10 PM and Wednesdays 7:00-9:00 PM in the Student Recreation Center at UWG. We have a very active club that is instructed by two great senseis, Chuck Wheeler and Hap Wheeler. Chuck and Hap have instructed and supported this club and the Judo class for a number of years. For more information about our club please visit the club info page or contact us.

In addition to our normal club workouts and activities, we also host a class for the University of West Georgia. This class can be taken through the PE department for credit, and is listed under PWLA 2611 (Judo). The class meets one night a week and is designed to give the beginning student the opportunity to become familiar with the basic principles, courtesies and techniques of Judo. An advanced class is also offered that will further advance one's basic knowledge about the sport of Judo. Both classes meet simultaneously on Monday nights from 7:00 PM till 8:40 PM in the Student Recreation Center at UWG. For more information, please visit the class info page.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at judo@westga.edu.
