Group Presentations

An hour-long presentation if in English 1102 or a 40-minute presentation if in English 1101 based on the text your group has been assigned.

Your group will be responsible for teaching the text to the class. You need to consider themes, characters, literary devices (metaphor, image, narrative style, setting, point of view, and any other devices that feature prominently within the text), and signs.

Your group will need to make use of visual aids and will need to engage your audience into the presentation. Feel free to use any props necessary (you have access to a computer with internet access and to a dvd player). If you feel that the text requires some background information, then please provide it.

I want copies of all group materials and notes. You must also turn in a typed lesson plan detailing the presentation’s components and who in the group is responsible for which part of the presentation and who did what to prepare for the presentation.

***If you’re not presenting, your job as the audience is to be respectful and be prepared by having read/viewed AND thought about the text in advance. I reserve the right to step in and quiz.
