To upload files to Docutek

1.  Add a document to your course reserves page in Docutek.

2.  After entering all the required information on the document, click at the bottom of the screen on SAVE.

3.  On the screen which comes up immediately after saving, click on “Transfer File(s) to Server.”

4.  At the next screen, you can choose up to 5 files from your hard drive to transfer at one time if you plan to upload several documents.  (It is best if only one file is attached to each item entry, however.)   Click on Browse to locate the file or files you wish to transfer, highlight them by clicking on them and then click on OPEN.

5.  After you have selected all the files you wish to transfer, click on Upload.

6.  When you see the message in green letters, “Success!   Your files have been uploaded to your staging area… you can close the window by clicking on Close.

7.  Next, locate the file you wish to attach to the item information you have entered and click on the little paperclip icon.

8.  Once the file is attached, click on Done, and your file is available for student viewing.

9.  To check to be sure you have really attached the file, go to Documents & Copyright > click to check the box the next to the document you have just worked with > Modify Selected > Attached Files.  You should see the name of the correct file on the lefthand side of the page under the heading, File(s) Attached to This Document.
