A library catalog is a searchable collection of records of every item in a library. We refer to our library catalog as GIL.
GIL will provide you with the location of a sources held at Ingram Library. This is done through the retrieval of library records. You provide
GIL with terms that describe what you are looking for, and it retrieves the materials that have those same terms in the description. All libraries within
the University System of Georgia use the same style, or interface. You can search all of the library catalogs by going into GIL Express
Use the Catalog
- to find out what items the library owns on your topic
- to find where a specific item is located in the library
