INTRODUCTION
Mission
The mission of Ingram Library is to provide a range of library services to the
State University of West Georgia students, faculty, administration, and staff,
and to the general West Georgia community. These services increasingly must
be delivered at the point of need; whether in the building or off-campus, in
person or electronically, with one-on-one reference assistance or in classroom
instruction, whether through locally held collections or through traditional
or electronic access to materials owned elsewhere. Such a mission demands that
Ingram Library marshal and manage a core of resources that revolves around Library
faculty and staff, Library services, and Library collections.
Overview
The Library maintains a collection of approximately 370,863 bound volumes,
23,706 reels of microfilm, a limited audiovisual collection, more than 1,040,226
pieces of microforms, 19,362 maps and charts, 208,215 government publications,
and 28,498 volumes/pieces in special collections. The Library currently subscribes
to 1,387 paper magazines and newspapers.
The faculty and staff of the Library invite you to explore our collection of
