Library Special Collections renovation begins 3/17
Much of the third floor of Ingram Library will be a construction zone beginning March 17th to facilitate the expansion of Special Collections. Demolition and the installation of temporary access (for library staff) to Special Collections should be accomplished during spring break.
Access to some materials in Special Collections will be constrained due to temporary re-location and the need to protect materials while work is under way. Arrangements to use materials must be made in advance by phoning 678 839-6361.
Part of the second floor has been designated a Quiet Zone for the remainder of the semester. Access to the circulating collections (L-Z) will not be affected.
Thanks for Helping Us Celebrate GALILEO's 10th Birthday!

Thanks for joining us on September 21 to celebrate GALILEO's 10th Birthday! University President Dr. Beheruz Sethna and Library Director Lorene Flanders were on hand to mark this historic occasion and to present students and faculty with information about GALILEO's history. In addition to reviewing the ten-year development of Georgia Library Learning Online, cake and refreshments were served in the library's lobby.

GALILEO made its debut in University System libraries in 1995, providing access to indexing and full text online journal material via the world wide web. GALILEO now provides access to dozens of databases and is available to all Georgians through public libraries, schools, and adult technical institutes and colleges. Subsequent phases of the GALILEO initiative encompassed GIL, the catalog platform for System libraries which includes a component that facilitates universal borrowing through GIL Express; and the Digital Library of Georgia, which provides online access to material ranging from historic documents to current state legislative information.
