DISTRICT GOVERNOR’S GOALS FOR THE YEAR 2008-2009
Each District Governor was required to establish certain goals for their District and an Action Plan to achieve those goals. Below are the Goals I set forth. Won’t you help me achieve them?
Promote Club involvement in Zone, Region and District events by at least 4 clubs who had not previously participated. (I already know of two clubs—won’t you become number 3 or 4?)
Reduce the number of dropped members (except for death, over which we have no control) from an average of 1 to an average of zero per club. (This one needs work!!!)
Establish a Leadership Development Program with the help of the Leadership Chair and the Past District Governors Association. (Let’s make this happen!)
Form two new Leo Clubs in the District. (We are on the way to doing this!)
Promote the formation of at least one new or reinstated club in the District. (We are on the way on this one too!)
Promote extension by having at least one newsletter article and 1 Extension Training during the year. (This one needs work—can you help?!)
Promote Community Involvement by having each club add one new service project to their program. (Have you done this yet?)
Encourage each club to increase their membership by at least +5, with at least one new member being a woman or other under-represented area of membership. (How is your club doing here?)
THESE ARE MY GOALS, BUT I AM ASKING YOU TO MAKE THEM YOURS AS WELL. TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT!
