Close reading assignment

Pick any passage of 15-20 lines from The Aeneid. Type or copy it out, triple-spacing to leave yourself room for notes. Annotate the passage, modeling your analysis on the discussion we had when we sat in the circle: explain how specific word choices, images, symbols, sentence structure, line breaks, etc. create meaning in the text. You do not have to comment on every line, but you should have something to say about most lines. Note form is fine.
