Learning Resources is located on the ground floor of the Learning Resources/Geography Building across
from the Library on Back Campus Drive. Back Campus Drive is gated and requires card key access. Parking is usually difficult to find close to the building.

Hours of Operation

The Learning Resources Center is open during normal Summer Semester hours - Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. and Fridays from 7:30 am - 11:30 pm. Staring August 6th our office hours will be 8:00 am. - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday.

 
What We Offer

The department of Learning Resources offers a wide variety of services for students and faculty alike. Below you will find a partial listing of their services.

Circulation Equipment
We have a large selection of AV equipment available for indoor use. We provide delivery, setup, training and retrieval for events on campus. Customers are allowed to pick up and return equipment if desired.

Technical Support
The
LRC is the 1st level of support for some buildings and 2nd level support for those that have a distributed support group. For example The College of Arts and Science have a distributed technical support group. All technical needs for Arts & Scinece classrooms, labs, conference rooms, etc. are to be directed to them. If they need assistance they will contact the LRC. Reference the Technical support list by department form.

Consultation
Part of the Techical Support we provide is consultation on multimedia equipment. We will be glad to work with you to identify the technologies that best meet your needs.

Microsoft Software
The LRC is the distribution point for the Microsoft Campus Agreement software for Faculty & Staff. Students can get their software from SITS. For more information visit http://www.westga.edu/~mca/


 
What We Offer continued...
Computer & Graphics Services
An array of graphics services are available from Learning Resources to add visual creativity to lectures and presentations. The design and creation of graphics include PowerPoint presentations, video editing, computer-generated drawings, charts and graphs, poster development, audio editing, and photograph enhancements. Other graphics services provided are CD duplication, converting audio cassettes and videos to CD, conversion of 35mm slides to computer images, text and photo scanning, and various size poster printing. Posters can also be laminated and mounted for display. Three-panel presentation boards and custom-cut mat boards may be purchased.
 

Training
Learning Resources assists in training faculty and staff in the proper usage of multimedia equipment. We also provide training in the use of variouse software and hardware in the Multimedia Development Center located at Learning Resources.
