Copyright Issues

The LRC takes Copyright seriously. Due to the complexity of the many different laws and policies (Copyright, Fair Use, Digital Millennium Act. etc.) we must stress the responsibility of the customer to follow the law.

The services provided are with the assumption that the customer has copyright approval, will act within the fair use guidelines or some other officially recognized guidelines. We are not an authority on copyright and can not be considered an approval source. The act of providing a service can not be assumed as approval to use the product in improper ways. For example if the LRC copies images from a book that a teacher wants to use for class, we may copy more images than are allowed under Fair Use with the expectations that the customer will only use a few of them as allowed within the guidelines.

The LRC will not process requests that are obvious copyright infringements and reserves the right to deny a request for any reason at any time in the process.

Each graphics request will require a signed copy of the Graphics Policy Acknowledgement form.
