As such, it is subject to the policies and procedures of the University System's Board of Regents. Mass Communications encompasses elements from both the humanities and the social sciences. Theatre Arts encourages elements from both the humanities and the fine arts. The values, concepts, and skills intrinsic to the disciplines of Mass Communications and Theatre Arts make both of these fields of study vital and integral components of a complete liberal arts education designed to create better citizens in our complex, culturally diverse, and increasingly global society.
