WUWG is West Georgia's own Campus Radio Station , serving all of Carrollton and Carroll County as well as the student body of The State University of West Georgia. Founded in February of 1973 as a ten watt station at 89.3 FM, WUWG is now 500 watts strong, and of course is found at 90.7 on the FM dial. 

In August of 1994, WWGC became an affiliate of Public Radio International. This allowed the hiring of full time station manager Kevin Sanders as well as acquisition of new equipment such as satellite links and DAT (digital audio tape) recording machines. In July 1997, WUWG became part of the Peach State Public Radio Network now called Georgia Public Radio, which allows the station an even greater selection of programming and additional equipment. WUWG is now on the air twenty four hours a day, 365 days a year, and has a staff that includes an Operations Manager (John Crosby), a Music Director (Cordrick Ramey), and a Production Manager (Emily Alexander). The staff also includes many part-time staff members, Mass Communications students and university and community volunteers (a cast of thousands!). Appalachian Trail: Tuesday evenings at 8:00 PM: Features historical and cultural Southeastern United States music. An eclectic mix of folk, bluegrass, and acoustic tunes evoking a feeling of a simpler America. The programs music ranges from early recordings to today's releases. Hosted and produced by Steve Sedberry.
 
 

Cinema Sounds: Thursday evenings at 8:00 PM: The big screen comes to life with this showcase of the great movie scores and popular hits. Featuring such artists as John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith, the program heralds to the forefront selections generally reserved for the movie theater. Hosted and produced Emily Alexander
 
 

La Voz Hispana (The Spanish Voice) : Saturday afternoons at 3:00 PM: A three hour program for the Spanish speaking population of the West Georgia/ East Alabama area. Spanish news, music, and information are featured, as well as listener phone calls. Hosted and produced by Gyla Gonzales.
 
 
 

Bluegrass Jubilee: Sunday afternoons at 1:00 PM: Travel the back roads and byways of America while enjoying thoughtful and informed insight to the bluegrass genre and its many artists. A staple of Sunday afternoons, "Jubilee" features your host "D" with his homespun humor and some "amazing grass"
