Specifically assigned homework problems will be discussed in class and simulated on exams. There will be no memorized problems, and homework will not be taken up for a grade. However, occasionally selected homework problems may be taken up to check format and notation only--not for a grade.
IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE COURSE WITHOUT DOING HOMEWORK ON A DAILY BASIS. PLEASE TURN OFF ALL CELL PHONES DURING CLASS!!
(II) TESTS: ( NO MAKE-UP TESTS !!! )
(A) EXAMS: There will be three or four 100 point exams
(USUALLY ON TUESDAYS [MAY OVERLAP MONDAYS
(B) FINAL EXAM: A comprehensive final exam will be given on
Wednesday (12/15/04) at 8:00 -10:00 AM.
(C) GRADING: 90 - 100: A
80 - 89: B
70 - 79: C
60 -69: D
Below 60: F
(D) "W" DEADLINE: The last day to withdraw with a "W" is OCTOBER 14.
NOTE: Your daily average will be 2/3 of your final grade and your final exam score will be 1/3 of your final grade.
