Luan Mueller is the Founding President of the Atlanta Clarinet Association, and a freelance performer in the greater Atlanta area. Mrs. Mueller was the Karl Leister Atlanta Tour Coordinator for his 2005 American Tour. As the clarinet instructor at the University of West Georgia, Mrs. Mueller works with all university clarinetists through private instruction, Clarinet Ensemble, and masterclasses. Publications include THE CLARINET, and music educators journals in Georgia and Maryland.
Mrs. Mueller has performed as principal clarinet of the Spanish Lyric Orchestra, New Sigmund Romberg Orchestra, New York Gilbert and Sullivan Touring Troupe, and the Cobb Symphony. She has also performed Eb, Bb, A, Bass Clarinet with the Florida Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, and the Annapolis Symphony. Her woodwind quintet recording debuted on NPR in Washington D.C. in 1976, with further TV appearances and a Christian music recording: Harborside Christmas!
Her private studio is proud to have produced 1st chair All State clarinetists in the states of Georgia, Florida, and Maryland. Graduating students have been accepted to Mannes School of Music, Eastman School of Music, Northwestern University, Peabody Conservatory, Indiana University, University of Maryland, Florida University, University of Florida, University of South Florida, Stetson University, Interlochen Arts Camp, Banff, North Carolina School for the Arts Camp, Brevard Music Camp, and the Buffet Academy.
Mrs. Mueller is a popular clinician and guest soloist for instrumental music ensembles throughout the Atlantic Seaboard. Invitations for Masterclasses and Solo Performances are welcomed. Please call 404-452-1881 to schedule appearances. |
