Advisement is available at the School of Nursing to current University of West Georgia students as well as prospective students. Unlike most degree programs, advising in the School of Nursing is not assigned. Students seeking advisement can see the full-time advisor or any faculty that may be available during the times listed below. First year UWG students are encouraged to be advised in the Excel Center during. The Excel Center can provide advisement to pre-nursing majors in addition to many other UWG student resources.

IMPORTANT
- If you have recently been accepted to UWG and you are a new or transfer student, please contact the Orientation Office at 678-839-4739 to inquire about transfer student advising dates.
- If you are NOT a UWG student, please bring transcripts from your other schools. **Keep in mind that the advisor cannot officially evaluate transcripts from other instutions, that is done by the Registrar's Office after your acceptance to UWG.
- Students may call to speak with an advisor over the phone, but keep in mind that if your are NOT a UWG student: You will need to fax unofficial transcripts for your other school(s) to 678-839-6553(fax) before calling. When faxing, make sure you include a cover sheet with your name, contact information, and the number of pages to be included. After faxing please call us to confirm receipt and ask to speak with a Nursing Advisor during the times listed above.
