Wednesday, February 24th, 2010, Z-6 Bottom Floor, 7:30-9:00pm, Sandra Meek (MFA, Colorado State; PhD, University of Denver) teaches creative writing at Berry College. Her poems have appeared on the website Poetry Daily and in many journals, including The Iowa Review, The Kenyon Review, and Prairie Schooner. Her chapbooks include The Circumference of Arrival (Elixir, 2001) and Nomadic Foundations (Elixir, 2002), a collection of poems about her Peace Corps experience.

Thursday, March 4th, 2010, Z-6 Bottom Floor, 7:30-9:00pm,  Lauren Watel (PhD, Emory [Women’s Studies]) received the 2005 Poets and Writers’ Exchange Award in fiction, as well as work-study scholarships from the Bread Loaf Writers Conference. Her work has been published in Ploughshares, Five Points, Triquarterly, and Poetry International and is forthcoming in the anthology One for the Road.
