The Philosophy Club, the Phi Sigma Tau Chapter, and the Philosophy Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte are pleased to announce our 2nd Annual Student Philosophy Conference, March 27, 2010.

Papers are now being accepted for undergraduate and graduate presentations. We welcome papers from all areas in philosophy, and particularly encourage papers that reflect the department’s strengths in ethics, aesthetics, social, political, and feminist philosophy.

Submissions should be no more than 4000 words (between 10 and 15 pages in length), and submitters should be prepared for presentations between 20 and 30 minutes in length. Papers should be submitted in a Word format (.doc or .docx) with a document title the same as the paper title, and should also be prepared for a blind review. Students should include a cover sheet with their full name, the title of their paper, their institutional affiliation, student status, mailing address, e-mail address, and phone number.

Submissions should be sent to uncc2010@gmail.com with an accompanying abstract of 100-200 words. The submission deadline is February 26, 2010.

Notification of acceptance will be sent out by March 5th. The conference schedule will be finalized by March 12th.

Please send any additional questions about the conference or submissions to Hannah Levinson at hrlevins@uncc.edu.
