The topic for our meeting on Wednesday Feruary 11 was morality. Questions ranged from "Does objective morality exist" to "What is morality?" Dr. Manlowe shared an interesting excerpt from Nietzche asking what is the origin of our good and evil and our special guest former society president Andrew Giles shared a Mark Twain quote telling us that we should decide what is right and wrong for ourselves. Overall the discussion waas varied and highly informative.
Next week's topic will be a more narrowed version of the same, posing Kantian moral theory against Mill's morality theory. Our next meeting is on February 25, 2004 in Humanities room 211.
Hope to see you there!
