The profit from the Lecture Notes Fundraiser totaled $115.89 .
Those that can be available for the APS volunteer meeting on Tuesday, February
16 are the following:
The Physics Department Breakfast Meeting with
Ramsey (a 1989 Physics Nobel Laureate) on Friday, March 19th was announced.
Please email Dr. Hasbun to let him know that you’re interested in attending.
The time of the breakfast has not been determined, but it will approximately
be around 9 to 10 AM.
The Quake tournament held last Jan. 23rd was not successful in connecting
the computers together for multi-player game play. We will tentatively
have another Quake night next Thursday Feb. 11 at 8 PM in room 205 of the
Math/Physics building. Please try to attend and bring as many friends
Kat will ask Dr. Powell about his observation night schedule.
Movie Night has been changed to Thursday, February
18, 1999 at 8 PM. Bring as many friends as possible to just hang
out and watch a great movie on a BIG screen.
Talk to Dr. Hasbun next week about building a generator and demonstrating
the other physics gadgets again.
The Physics/Engineering Club would like to put together an intramural
softball team. Any faculty or students interested in playing on the
