FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.  What is the difference between an Honor Fraternity and an Honor Society?

     -  The major difference iis that an honor society like Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society will typically recognize the past achievements of its members.  An Honor Fraternity such as Phi Sigma Pi will seek to organize social, recreational, and fundraising opportunities while promoting the educational importance of college.

2.  Is there any Hazing in this fraternity?

    -  Absolutely not.  Phi Sigma Pi is serious about no hazing and to that end, we have an anti hazing agreement.  Hazing is only counterproductive and does nothing to further our ideals of scholarship, leadership and fellowship.

3.  I am in another fraternity/sorority, Can I join Phi Sigma Pi?

    -  Phi Sigma Pi is not a social greek organization so there are no conflicts of interest here.  In fact, some of our brothers belong to social fraternites and are extremely active members of Phi Sigma Pi.

4.  Is Phi Sigma Pi a well-established organization?

   -  Phi Sigma Pi is indeed a well established organization.  We were founded on February 14th, 1916 and there are currently 96 active Collegiate Chapters with almost 5,000 active members.

5.  What are Advantages to becoming a member of Phi Sigma Pi?

     -  Phi Sigma Pi members and recruits are among the best on campus.  Through Community Service, education and fellowship programs, Phi Sigma Pi offers its members an opportunity to become leaders, meet new people and become more of a driving force on campus.
