DOs DON'TS
Do Wear pins and letters Don't forget that a potential may not know much about the fraternity
Do balance events with male-female oriented activities Don't ever, ever, EVER leave a guest alone.
Do Get Male input on recruitment ads Don't lose your temper or get into an argument
Do greet guests at the door Don't use "inside" jokes or nicknames.
Do Make Friends DO NOT congregate with groups of brothers.  Prospective Members may have the impression that no one is interested in them.
Do Be on time for all rush events Don't Congregate in large groups at the front door
Do know enough about the fraternity to answer questions Don't go into too much detail about the chapter or the imitate program, too much detail can be overwhelming.
Do Be Honest Don't give a detailed history about PSP
Do introduce prospective members to one another and members of the chapter Don't talk about how great PSP is without backing that up.
Do be positive about your chapter and yourself Do NOT make statements that may be offensive
Do relate opportunities and chances for involvement offered by the fraternity Don't bore Potentials with lengthy details.
Do Make Perspective members feel comfortable Don't take Quantity over Quality
Do remember that recruitment/rush is about making friends Don't Be Intimidating
Do Set Recruitment Goals Don't Expect positive results if an event is unorganized or thrown together
Do Plan Recruitment Events far in advance Don't do things that you did not like as a potential
Do Have name tags for all brothers at Recruitment Events Don't try to attract members artificially, be yourself
Do use the National HQ and Alumni/Alumni Associations Don't make promises you can't fulfill
Do hold a rush workshop for the chapter before rush begins Don't stay with one person too long
Do Be a Good Listener Don't talk only about yourself, listen to the potential member and give him or her a chance to talk about what interests them.
Do Treat all Guests Equally Don't use foul language around a potential member
Do Be relaxed and BE YOURSELF Don't Criticize brothers for the chapters weak points.
Do get to know prospective by first name as quickly as possible Don't Criticize any other fraternity/sorority  on campus
Do try to introduce prospective to other brothers with similar interests Don't Appear Bored
