Sure-Fire Ways to hurt Alumni Support


1.  Do not publish a chapter Newsletter
2.  When publishing a newsletter, only include undergraduate news
3.  Ask for money every time you contact an alumni.
4.  Ignore an alumnus who comes to chapter events.
5.  Plan any and all alumni functions one or two weeks in advance.
6.  Notifiy alumni of an alumni function one to two weeks in advance at the most.
7.  Do not Acknowledge any alumni contributions.
8.  Only think of alumni in the terms of "what can they do for us"
9.  Do not keep consistent communication with alumni.
10.  Be inconsistent in cultivating alumni/chapter relationships.
