PSYC 6584 - Phenomenological Psychology

 


Course Description:
This seminar will provide either an in-depth focus on a particular phenomenological thinker (such as Husserl, etc.) or a theme of phenomenological study (such as perception, memory, imagination. etc.).
 

Course Objectives:
· to attain a close textual examination of a major thinker in phenomenology; in particular, the relevance for contemporary phenomenological psychology will be highlighted

· Merleau-Ponty, M. (1962). Phenomenology of Perception. (Translated by C. Smith). NY: Humanities Press.
 

Course Requirements:
