We are planning an exciting Tour/Cruise to Switzerland – Italy & the Greek Islands for June 11th – 27th, 2006.  As many of you know, we have taken individuals and families to Europe for the past twelve years.  As educators, we feel that travel is a most beneficial and rewarding experience.  Leland is a professor of Economics at the University of West Georgia and Gherry is a former teacher of gifted students in Carroll County, Georgia.  Together we try to give you a trip that has unique experiences and exposes you to the people as well as the history of each culture. We would like you to join us next June (2006) as we visit the beautiful Swiss village of Zermatt and then depart from the romantic city of Venice for a cruise of the Greek Islands.  Our cruise ship the “Golden Princess" is operated by Princess Cruise Lines.  It is really a fabulous ship!  We will visit five different countries and 10 ports during the tour/cruise.  The following are some of the sites we will visit:

·         Zermatt, Switzerland – Swiss village with no cars sits at the base of the Matterhorn mountain

·         Lake Maggiore, Northern Italy – Italy’s beautiful lake district –boat ride for lunch on an island

·         Verona, Italy – Setting for Romeo & Juliet – best preserved Roman amphitheater in the world

·         Venice, Italy - One of the most picturesque cities in the world – more photos

·         Dubrovnik, Croatia - This walled 16th century Turkish built town is known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic”

·         Corfu, Greece - The green island of Greece considered by many as the most beautiful of the Greek Islands

·         Olympia, Greece - Home of the Ancient Olympic Games

·         Athens, Greece - The ancient Acropolis and city where democracy was born

·         Mykonos, Greece - A tangle of dazzling white alleys and turquoise shuttered houses on the blue Agean Sea

·         Ephesus, Turkey - A major player in the birth and evolution of  Christianity – place where Paul preached

·         Rhodes, Greece - Magnificent walled town – a World Heritage Site

·         Santorini, Greece - This island is the most spectacular and romantic island of Greece – more photos

·         Naples, Italy - Pompeii , Sorrento, Farm visit to learn how mozzarella cheese and Italian Gnocci is made – lunch on the farm
