Dear Friends
We are planning two cruises around the Hawaiian
Islands for the summer of 2005 [June 03-13 and June 17-27]. As many of you know, we have taken
individuals and families on tours around the world for the past eleven
years. As educators, we feel that travel is a most beneficial and
rewarding experience. Leland is a professor of Economics at the University
of West Georgia and Gherry is a
former teacher of gifted students in Carroll County,
Georgia. Together
we try to give you a trip that has unique experiences and exposes you to the
people as well as the history of each culture. To reserve a cabin (for two) it
will require a $500 deposit that is fully refundable until at least February,
2005.
The following are
the Islands we will visit and some of the sites you can see:
Kauai:
Hanalei Valley, Wai`ale`ale Crater and Waimea Canyon (considered the “Grand
Canyon of the Pacific), the Na Pali Coast (one of the most
beautiful mountain coasts in the world).
Maui: Drive the winding Road to Hana past jungles
of ferns, countless waterfalls, underground caves and pristine lagoons.
The Big Island of Hawaii: Spectacular
white-and-black sand beaches, dramatic cliffs, active volcanoes and even
cactus-studded deserts carve the terrain. From the orchid gardens of Hilo
to the sun-drenched Kona Coast,
it is a place of many wonders, chief among them Hawaii
Volcanoes National Park.
Oahu: Pearl Harbor, Waikiki
Beach, Diamond Head,
Polynesian Cultural Center
A cruise of the Hawaiian Islands is
the most wonderful and pleasant way to see all the famous sights of Hawaii
and avoid changing hotels and going back and forth to airports. Cruising provides first class meals, evening
entertainment, and everyday a new adventure.
