Following your own interests and with careful attention to the strategies, vocubulary, and models present in the third chapter of Roberts, write a 1,000 word essay analysizing character in either "The Necklace" or "An Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge." Alternately, you may wish to write about a character other than Minnie Wright from "Trifles." Final drafts are due by 3:30 p.m. Thursday, February 15, and must be turned in as a Word document e-mail attachment sent to rhendric@westga.edu. Papers must be typed, double-spaced, with one inch margins all around. References to the story or play should be cited with parenthetical page numbers in your text. Do not use a cover page. Place your name, course name, instructor's name, and date in the top left corner of the first page, above your centered title.
