Each class member will write a brief summary of his or her research paper and read the summary to the class during the final exam period. The summary should not exceed one-half page, typed, double-spaced. A copy should be made for the instructor and all members of the class. The summary should include:
1. A clear statement of the subject of the paper as well as the student's interest in the subject and the argument made in the paper.
2. A thorough description of the evidence presented in the paper to support the argument.
3. A summary of the most important secondary critical sources used in the paper to form a context for the student's own argument.
Students should be prepared to answer questions after their presentations.
