the works and issues.
This is not a research project. DO NOT USE WEB MATERIAL -- it will result in a ZERO for the exam and a Zero for the
course. If you wrote this in the test period, I would give you two sides of a page for each of the essays, so let that be your guide as to length.
Regardless of length, cover the issues fully
First, in list form, at the top of the essay, identify each of the works in a pairs, with movement/style, title, artist, location (for architecture), and date. Then, for that pair of slides, write a UNIFIED essay, using complete sentences, in which you discuss the worksin relationship to one other.State what the purpose of the comparison would be, and evaluate the similarities and the differences between each two.Consider the purpose of each and its significance within the stylistic/historical period in which it was created,as well as how it reflects that time and place, as well as its cultural and historical context.Use proper terminology and explain what the terms mean, as appropriate. synthesize the information, and add your own reflections to these sources from looking at the works and considering the issues.Do not limit yourself to the short segments on the specific works, but consider also theinformation and opinion given on the eras and their concerns, as well as other examples of similar monuments/works,as long as you are careful to distinguish the one here from the others in relevant ways. Also consider: media, size, style, location, etc., as appropriate. Do not write a separate essay for each work in a pair.
Do not use Web materials. (this will result in a 0 (ZERO) for the exam and in a 0 for the course. Write a fully developed essay of 2 pages + for each topic.
