OLD BUSINESS

  1. Erma discussed the possibility of Peachcare offering low cost insurance to staff members who can't afford it.

  2. The "Council" discussed staff's Sick Leave Policy and the possibility of having a sick leave pool. Family Leave Pool issues were also discussed.

  3. Erma updated the staff on the State Staff Council Meeting that was held June 21 at Macon State University. Erma had announced the agenda that the State University of West Georgia is planning for the annual State Council Conference that is to be held here in September. Several staff members from other universities that attended the state meeting in Macon asked that we invite Linda Schrenko, Tom Murphy and Roy Barnes to our conference to answer questions facing our University System. Erma will send an e-mail requesting all university staff to submit questions and topics in advance for these representatives to discuss at the conference.

  4. Erma said that the staff member in attendance at the state meeting, also thought it was a great idea for us to sell T-shirts with the Conference Logo on them.

  5. Donna updated the staff on a new copier that Publication and Printing received.
If the "council" will submit the logo to her within the next month, they will be able to print 150 labels with our conference logo on them for free. Sam and Donna will work on this issue.

  6. The "council" discussed several work related issues. These issues will be discussed and updated at the next meeting.

  7. Jill will invite Don King with United Product Sales to the next "council" meeting to show and discuss items to put in gift bags and give away as door prizes at our conference

  8. Our next meeting will be on July 18th at 2:00pm in the Sanford Hall Conference Room

ADJOURNMENT
