My camera collection & why I do it

I do this for fun.
This is, by no means, a fancy, expensive collection with rare and exquisite pieces. It all started back in the early '90s when I paid way too much for a couple of old cameras.

Over the past 20 years I've collected just about anything that has to do with imaging - film, paper, accessories, chemical containers, flashbulbs, you-name-it. And of course, cameras.

My motive in collecting this stuff revolves around the notion that as long as there has been photography, there has been an inexpensive way for the masses to use the medium to preserve memories.

Even though I shoot as a pro, I'm not really interested in that type of camera as a collectible. I'm interested in the cameras that people would have used on holidays and vacations, at christenings and little league games. These are the cameras that recorded real history.
