About SIS
The office of Student Information Services provides assistance to the division of Student Services at the University of West Georgia with:
- general technology issues
- desktop software applications
- Banner questions, one-time reports, and one-time data extracts
- technology purchases
SIS also provides Banner training to academic and administrative areas, as well as the same Banner support mentioned above.
About Banner
Banner is the system that keeps up with all the information about students. From student addresses to grades to graduation date, it's all stored in an Oracle database where Banner accesses it.
